Nicorette Gum is a therapeutic nicotine chewing gum used by smokers to gradually reduce their dependence on nicotine from cigarettes. When a person stops smoking, they will usually experience a withdrawal from and cravings for nicotine, which can be lessened substantially by chewing Nicorette Gum. Nicotine is an addictive substance, and the use of Nicorette is intended as a substitute for smoking. This allows the person to receive the satisfaction of the nicotine itself, without the harmful effects of cigarette tar and carbon monoxide.
